Cogratulations to the Detroit Tigers on making the playoffs.
For the first time in 20 years, the Tigers have reached the playoffs and have the best record in the league. They also have a chance to win the central division title.
From the worst record to the best record in three years is nothing less than a miracle. From top notch pitching, good fielding and booming batters, the Tigers have been a joy to watch.
Some of the credit should go to the players but most of the credit should go the manager Jim Leyland. He has taken a team that was terrible and turned it around. He knew when to rest players and when to have a change up.
Thank You: Jim Leyland, Magglio, Brandon, Jeremy, Kenny and the rest of the Tigers for an incredible season.
Go get em' Tigers!!

Saints teaching that life goes on, despite setbacks
When the Saints played the Falcons on Monday Night Football, it was not just a game that took place but a celebration.
A year ago the Superdome was nearly in ruins and New Orleans was mostly underwater by Hurricane Katrina. Monday night the Superdome was reopened and for the first time in a year football was played there.
The game showed that despite hardships, the human spirit endures and life goes on.
Welcome back New Orleans and way to go Saints on the win.

Lions beaten by Bears, oh my!
Despite the guarantee by wide receiver Roy Williams of a victory, the Lions came up very short of any form of it on Sunday. The bloodbath as I call it, was 34 to 7 in favor of the Bears.
Many blame it on the coach, many blame it on the quarterbacks. It seems the one that should be held accountable is the general manager Matt Millen.
No matter what improvements, trades, or draft picks he made, he has shown that a toddler can handle the team better than him. Since he came aboard the Lions went from a good team almost missing the playoffs to the laughing stock of the league.
Although Detroit has a lot of good players, they do not have a good leader in Millen. The only thing fans wish that Mr. Ford would do is say to Millen is YOU'RE FIRED!

Way to go Detroit Shock!
Congratulations to the Detroit Shock for winning another WNBA title. Once again women have shown how basketball is to be played.
Hey Pistons, maybe you should be taking notes on how it's done.
Way to go Ladies!!

Lions Should Be Declawed
Once again the Detroit Lions are proving that no matter what they do, they can't seen to win games. If the preseason is any indicator of the regular season then the Fords' should have the Lions declawed.
What was a promising start with a new head coach turned into a preseason diaster. With the new season and a home opener, once again the Lions fall.
While the defense put up a good fight keeping the Seahawks from scoring any touchdowns, the Lions offense fizzled and the only bright spots were the field goals kicked by Jason Hanson.
Instead of blaming Rod Marinelli maybe fans should just accept that our team will win the Super Bowl when hell freezes over, or when I get married.
If the Lions want to win, let's forget about the west coast offense and get back to basics.
Boys, learn how to play football.
