Lions prove once again they are turkeys.

Once again the Lions proved that turkey was not the only item that was roasted on Thanksgiving day. This time they were carved by the Green Bay Packers.

What happened to this team? Yes the 6-2 was nice, but in the past three games they lost. Did the reality of the dream season kick in and finally become a nightmare? Did the Midas man of the offensive coordinator Mike Martz lose his touch? Do they need to give the ball more often to Calvin Johnson? Do they need to bring back fullback Cory Schessinger to straighten out the offensive line? Does our defensive coordinator Joe Cullens have to get his head out of his butt and do a better job? Or do the Lions show that they stink as a franchise?

I'm not hitting the panic button or writing this team off yet, but if they don't win soon, then they blew their chance for a playoff bid. And the 6-2 start will be a mirage n in the desert that is called Detroit Football.

Then they will be the Lions that everyone expects them and are proven to be.

Prayers go out to the loved ones of Sean Taylor. Reminder that life is sacred

Prayers and thoughts go out to the family, friends, teammates, coaches, owners and fans of Washington Redskins player Sean Taylor. Taylor who was a safety for the team, was slain in an robbery attempt at his home in Miami.

It is a tragic reminder that life is short and that life and our loved ones should be savored. It is also a reminder that crime and tragedy
affects everyone, whether you are celebrity or not.

In other words, take care of each other and stay safe.

Pistons rock Palace in home opener, team is off to a good start.

If the start of a season is an indicator of how well a team can do, then the Pistons are going to have a hell of a good year.

After defeating the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic on the road, Detroit clipped the Atlanta Hawks wings in a thrilling home opener
92-91. The game winner, a Chauncey Billups shot in the last second, kept it from going into overtime.

My question is this. Are the same Pistons that lost to the Cavilers last season? Where was this team in the playoffs when we needed them? Maybe they needed a good kick in the pants to get it together this season. Maybe they are finally showing how good of a team that they really are.

Keep up the good work and castrate the Chicago Bulls.

Lions are 6-2. Don't blow it.

It's a rare sight for Lions fans. The Lions are now 6-2. In other words, enjoy it while it lasts.

After having five dismal seasons where they barely won 6 games all season, they are well on their way of having a winning season. Some are even starting to consider the Lions are becoming an elite team.

What happened? Was it Mike Martz offensive schemes? Did the defensive line get its act together? Or is just sheer luck? Yes, I'm well aware that they looks like they are finally starting to turn this team around. But they still have to prove that they deserve to be a good team by being more consistent. If they do that maybe they could be considered a good team.

In other words, don't blow it boys! Keep up the good work.
