Despite Barry Bonds lack of ethics, the home run record will still be out there.
Even if they find out that he did juice up with steroids and he is stripped of his record, the record will still have been broken. Why would athletes jeopardize their ethics, careers and bodies for glory?
What does this do the integrity of baseball? What message does Bonds send to youths? That fame, fortune and glory are more important than honesty? That no matter how immoral that a person is, what counts is name recognition? Can baseball recover from Bonds actions?
If baseball is ever going to stay clean they must do a few things. First they have to admit that there is a steroid problem. Second the commissioner should hand out stiffer penalties instead of small fines, some excuse of a suspension and a slap on the wrist. Third, the fans should not put up with players behavior and excuses for their actions.
Maybe then will baseball be clean again.

Are these the same Tigers that had five all stars?
Are these the same Detroit Tigers that had five members on the all star team.
What happened to the team that went to the World Series last season?
So far this month, they lost 11 games and are in danger in being out of the playoffs. What happened to this team to cause their skid? Did the dream team of last year wake up to a bad nightmare.
I'm well aware that the team has been plagued by illness and injuries, but even healthy players are falling on the job. They let go of Craig Monroe who was brilliant last year. It's kind of sad that even the Chicago Cubs are doing better than Detroit.
The next few games are important. Detroit can't afford to lose to Cleveland and the Yankees if they want to be in the playoffs.
Get your act together Tigers, or should I call you kittens.

Lions win two in a row. Has hell frozen over?
The Detroit Lions have won another game in a row by barely beating the Cleveland Browns 23-20 in their second preseason game.
What happened? Are the these the same Lions that won only three games last year?
Was it the addition of Calvin Johnson and Tatum bell. Did the defensive coordinator finally sober up and behave himself? Did Rod Marinelli quit being a hard nosed task master? Or did hell freeze finally over?
I'm aware that it's only the preseason, but if they can keep winning, maybe this team can be turned around and not be a disappointment.
Keep up the good work Lions. In other words: DON'T SCREW IT UP!

Spurs sweep Cleveland, Did the Cavilers deserve to be the Eastern Conference Champs.
For the third time in five years, the San Antonio Spurs are once again the NBA champs by sweeping the Cleveland Cavilers in four games.
If Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavilers are a good team, what happened to them. Could their victory over the Pistons be a mistake on Detroit's part.
Don't get me wrong, Cleveland can put up a battle, but Detroit should have not given up control in the last four games in the conference series. Maybe the were not hungry enough. Maybe they were worn out. Maybe there are some issues that they need to resolve. Or could this be the kick in the pants of their egos that the Pistons really needed.
By keeping these players, you can increase your chances of reaching the post season and bring the NBA championship back to Detroit, where it belongs.

My advice to Joe Dumars is this, whatever you changes you have to make please keep the team intact. Especially your core players like Chauncey, Rip, Chris Webber, Rasheed, and Tayshaun.

Thanks to Justin Verlander the Tigers are on the prowl again
Thanks to Justin Verlanders' no hitter on June 12th the Tigers are once again on the prowl in the American leauge.
For the the 6th time in Tiger history has a pitcher pitched a no hitter game. Thanks to sparking team play, Detroit is once again proud of its Motor city kittys.
Way to go Verlander and chew your opponents up Tigers!.

Despite the Pistons loss, we should be proud of the team
Even though the Pistons lost the eastern Conference Championship, we as Detroiters should still be proud of them.
How many NBA teams have made it to the Conference Finals five years in a row and been to the finals twice. Also how many teams can boast that they have excellent players, like Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Rasheed Wallace, Chris Webber, Tayshaun Price and a stellar bench. Even without Ben Wallace, they still proved that they can make it well into the playoffs
What the Pistons need to do right now is to keep their core starting five, but they really need to regroup and figure out why they are playing the way they are, they need to find why they keep blowing leads.
By doing this, they will once again be the champions that they deserve to be..
