Kinsler Trade: Naughty, Not Nice

Another fine mess Al Avila has gotten the Tigers into.

Santa needs to put coal in Al Avilas' stocking.

On Thursday night the Tigers traded Ian Kinsler to the Angels for two minor league player.

Is Avila that stupid, yep.

The team needs to be improved, but letting go of good players is not a good move. It's like trading a smart phone for 2 tins cans with string on it.

When you keep trading solid players what do you get, a bad team.

The Tigers were built to win and we can't do that with bonehead trades like these.

Fans watch, attend games, root for their favorite players.

Fans are fickle. Disappoint us once and good luck ever getting fans back.

And what about the other bad  decisions that were done. Yes, the Tigers were screwed over when they traded David Price to Toronto, Yonies Cepedes to the Mets 2 years ago. But did they learn their lesson, nope.

They traded Jd. Martinez to the Diamondbacks, Justin Verlander and Justin Upton to the Astros for prospects this year.

Avila had 2 years to turn the team around. What he's doing is not working. Even firing the manager Brad Asumus near the end of the season doesn't help the team.

It's not Ausumus' fault the Tigers are playing bad, you keep getting rid of good players.

With decisions like these no wonder the Tigers stunk. Who's gonna be left from the team Al, Paws?

Maybe I'm wrong and maybe the Tigers will come out alright. After all we still got Miggy, V Mart. I hope that these decisions works out or the Tigers are going to lose fans including me.

No excuses. Do whatever it takes to get back to winning.

Russia Banned From 2018 Winter Olympic

Once again athletes who has doped are in trouble. Once again, yawn.

This time the Russian Olympic Team is banned from competition in the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea after it was found that many of their athletes were doping during the 2014 games that were held in Sochi.

Not only did they scheme to cover up that their athletes doped, they can't even march in the 2018 opening ceremonies or have their anthem played.

The Russian athletes that are clean have to get special permission to march in uniforms of unspecified countries.

My question is this, what happened to the integrity of athletes? It's not just baseball that has the steroid cheaters, now it's the Olympics too. What happened to fair play?

Why was Russia allowed to cheat?
Shouldn't there be safeguards to make sure doping doesn't happen.

What happened to working hard for a goal? What happened to excelling at a sport by sacrificing years to achieve a dream? Now all athletes have to do to achieve greatness is swallow pills in a bottle.

Is the lust of fame, fortune and national pride are more important than ethics? What message does this send to the young? That in order to win, you have to cheat?

If the Olympics and pro sports wants to clean their act, they must first: impose stiffer penalties on the athletes and countries who cheat. In other words make them an example.

Second: don't let trainers and coaches have accessibility to performance enhancing drugs.

Third: have a strong policy that has some teeth to it, and better drugs tests. And fourth: stronger education about the issue.

By taking action, instead of reacting, maybe the Olympics can get back to what it should be about, athletes excelling and fair play.

Tigers Trade Justin Verlander To The Astros. Detroit We Have A Problem

Stink, stank, stunk!

A root canal with unsterile tools covered in toxic waste and no anesthesia would be much less painful than the recent Tigers trade.

Late Thursday night the Tigers traded Justin Verlander and Justin Upton to the Houston Astros for 2 prospects.

How could you trade solid players and fan favorites for players who could be a bust. It's  like shooting yourself in the foot to spite your leg.

I know that we needed to do something, but not now. If you really wanted to rebuild a team, it should be done during the off season, not while it's still going on. Verlander is older, but he still has a lot of pitching years left.

Don't give me the excuse that the Tigers needed this. Yes, the Tigers are older, but when you keep trading great players what do you get, a team that stinks. The Tigers were built to win and we can't do that with trades like these.

Also what does that do to the morale of the team and fans. Fans watch, attend games. We buy team gear and show our team pride. Fans are fickle. Disappoint them once and good luck ever getting the fan base to return.

And what about the other misfire trades that were done. Yes, the Tigers were screwed over when the former team President Dave Drombrowski traded pitcher David Price to Toronto and Yonies Cepedes to the Mets. Avila had 2 years to turn the team around. So far he's been terrible at it.

With decisions like these no wonder the Tigers out of playoff contention  What's next Al, cut Miggy, V Mart, Paws and the rest of our team too?

Maybe I'm wrong and maybe the Tigers will come out alright. After all we still got Miggy, V Mart, and Kinsler. I hope that this trade works out or the Tigers are going to lose fans including this one.

No excuses. Do whatever it takes to get Verlander and Upton back.

Tigers Trade JD. Martinez. Avila Should Be Declawed.

If I used every swear word there is to describe todays' Tigers trade, it would be an insult to the swear words. That's how bad the trade is.

The team president for the Tigers made a surprise move by trading JD. Martinez to the Diamondbacks for 3 prospects.

How could you trade a solid player for prospects who could be a bust. Why shoot yourself in the foot.

Look I know that we needed to do something, but not now.

And what about the other misfire trades that were done. Yes, the Tigers were royaled screwed over when the former team President Dave Drombrowski traded pitcher David Price to Toronto and Yonies Cepedes to the Mets. But Avila had 2 years to turn the team around. So far he has done a half assed job.

With decisions like these no wonder the Tigers are behind in the standings. What's next Al, cut Miggy, V Mart and the rest of our team too?

Maybe I'm wrong and maybe the Tigers will come out alright. After all we still got Miggy, V Mart, Verlander and Kinsler. I hope that this trade works out or the Tigers are going to lose fans including this one.

Do whatever it takes to get JD. back in Detroit. Tiger fans deserve and earned it.
