No matter what happens this time Roger (the Rocket) Clemens will be not be able to pitch his way out of this one.
The World Series and Cy Young Award winning pitcher was indited last week for alleged perjury during his testimony in 2008 to Congress regarding his use of steroids. According to Clemens, he swore under oath he never has taken HGH (human growth hormones) or anabolic steroids.
However there are reports that claim Clemens did take steroids.
Ok, who's really telling the truth? If the allegations are true, what does that say about ethics? What does it say to all the athletes who are clean and excel through hard work?
Is winning at all costs worth the risk of being caught? Is the league doing enough to clean up their sport? Even if he is found innocent, will his reputation ever recover? Can he ever be trusted again? Why was steroid use allowed in the first place?
Under the law, you're considered innocent until proven guilty. Even if Clemens is cleared of charges, many will question his character in the court of public opinion. Once there is doubt, it's almost impossible to regain the publics' trust. Once trust is broken, it will take a long time to be forgiven.
If Roger Clemens wants to come out of this intact, he must tell the absolute truth. By telling the truth, maybe sports can finally be clean.
Please Roger, tell the TRUTH!

Farewell To A National Icon. Prayers Thoughts For George Steinbrenner and Yankees Family
One of the most storied and beloved baseball owners is no longer with us.
George Steinbrenner, the long time owner of the World Series Yankees passed away suddenly Tuesday morning in Tampa of a massive heart attack. He was 80. Under Steinbrenner's stewardship, the Yankees made several playoff appearances and won 7 World Series. The most recent World Series win came last year.
Mr. Steinbrenner was a true original. He will be missed by Yankee and baseball fans everywhere.
Bless you George Steinbrenner, wherever you are.

Lebron James has chosen a new team. Let the ego games begin!
Everyone can back to their lives now. The self proclaimed basketball king Lebron James has chosen to play with a new team.
After much fanfare and speculation on what team Lebron James would end up playing for, he answered the question in a 1 hour media zoo Thursday night. His big revelation that drew in many viewers, the Miami Heat.
My revelation as your sports goddess about the media circus surrounding his announcement: is big friggin deal. And why such a waste of prime time air.
So what if he's chosen a new team. It's not like it's the end of humanity as we know it. It's not like he's cured cancer or ended poverty. He gave Cavalier fans a virtual middle finger. In other words he showed the world what he cares about most, himself.
Lebron is no better than anyone else. He's no different than any other athlete with an inflated ego who thinks that they're better because they have fame. Fame is only valuable if you do something positive with it.
Fame is no different than a high school cafeteria where you're allowed to sit at the cool kids table for awhile. In other words, you're only good as your last win. After 7 years in the NBA, Lebron has proven that he can't live up to his hype.
If Lebron is supposed to be the best, I feel sorry for South Beach.

Say It Ain't So Stevie Y, Red Wing Fans Will Miss You.
Please say it ain't so.
After 27 years in Detroit, Steve Yzerman is leaving the Red Wings. The former center, captain, Stanley Cup winner and gold medalist of the Wings is leaving to become general manager of the Tampa Bay Lightning. The hall of famer was first drafted in by the Wings in 1983, retired in 2006 and worked in the front office as a team vice president.
Steve you were an essential part of the Wings success and a treasure to many Metro Detroiters. Thank you for being a class act. You will be missed.

Be An All Star for Team Earth
April 22nd marks a special day.
All over the world millions are remembering the 40th birthday of Earth Day. Earth Day was started to bring awareness to environmental and conservation issues. Shouldn't awareness about the environment be every day and not just highlighted one day a year
It can. There are many simple, painless ways that you can help the planet every day.
You can start by simply recycling. Here is a photo of some of the many items that appear in my recycling bin. By recycling you are not only making less garbage, but what you recycle can often be used to make new items as well. There are also many ways that you can even recycle some used electronics. You can call your city for more info for what can and can't be recycled.
Instead of plastic bags, you can use canvas or ask for paper ones at your local stores. You can buy local and organic produce at your local markets. You can buy products that use less packaging. You can bring a coffee mug instead of using styrofoam or plastic cups at work school or home. You can even remove your name from junk mailing lists to stop unwanted mail and create less waste.
You can use environmentally safe cleaning products. You can use cloths instead of paper towels for cleaning. You can use less energy turning off lights and electronics when not in use. You can even support businesses that are green.
By making a few small changes you can impact our environment greatly. We all share this world together. Why not do your part to keep it clean.
Make a difference. Make Earth Day every day!

Go Wings, Crush the Coyotes!
If you told me that the Red Wings were behind in the playoffs, I would have never believed it.
After making it to two Stanley Cup finals in a row and winning the Cup in 2008, the Wings are behind the Coyotes 2 games to 1 in the first round. After another loss to Phoenix 4-2 on Sunday, the Wings post season could be over soon.
Ok guys, no more excuses. Show Phoenix who's the best team in the NHL. Show them why you were the 2008 Champs. Let's make it back to the Finals.
Beat the snot out of the Coyotes, GO WINGS!
