Bad Trade, Avila Has Got To Go

Stick a fork in the Tigers season, that's how bad it is.

The Tigers at the July  31st deadlinr traded Nicholas Castellanos to the Cubs and Shane Greene to the Braves.

In return, the Tigers got 4 prospects.
How could you trade good players for prospects.

Don't give me the c**k  and bull**** the Tigers needed these trades.

Yes, the Tigers are bad when you keep trading great players.

The Tigers were once built to win and we can't do that with Avila is still in charge.

What does that do to the morale of the team and fans if we can't cheer on our favorites players.

Fans watch, attend games. Fans are fickle. Disappoint us once and good luck ever getting us to return.

And what about the other misfire trades that were done.

Yes, the Tigers were screwed over when the former team President Dave Drombrowski traded players.
But when Avila got in, it became worse.

He had 4 years to turn the team around.
It is getting so bad that even a miracle won't save the Tigers season.

With decisions like these no wonder the Tigers suck. What's next Al, cut Miggy too?

Maybe I'm wrong and maybe the Tigers will come out alright, yeah right.

I hope that this trade works out or the Tigers are going to keep losing fans.
They lost this one months ago.

No excuses, get the Tigers back to being a decent team.

THEN, NOW, ALWAYS, GO TIGERS!

Ok Tigers, this is it.

You're 1 possible win away from going to the A. L. Championship series. No matter the outcome Detroiters are proud of you!

GO TIGERS!

Tigers Trade Catcher. Is Dave Dombrowski pulling a Kwame Kilpatrick?

Dave Dombrowski should have his head examined for holes in it. Mike Illitch also needs to see if the team president has any ethics.

The team president for the Tigers made a surprise move by trading their catcher to the Yankees for relief pitcher Kyle Farnsworth
. Detroit, and our beloved Tigers got screwed again.

How could you trade a solid player for a guy who could be a bust. Dombrowski said it himself that he was one of the reasons for our resurgence. So why cut off the hand that fed you?

Why not trade
somebody not useful. And didn't the Tigers say that he was not to be traded earlier when asked about him? And what about the rumors that he wanted out, keep him anyways. Maybe he would come back next season as a free agent. Is Dombrowski waffling like breakfast?

Look I know that we needed relief pitching, but you need to give Todd Jones more chances and time to heal. And why take back Farnsworth when you traded him in 2005? And what about the other misfire of trades that were done. Like acquiring bust Dontrelle Willis, letting go of Craig Monroe and ace pitcher Jair Jurrins. With decisions like these no wonder Carlos Guillen was the lone all star. What's next Dave, cut Guillen, Maggs and the rest of our team too?

Maybe I'm wrong and maybe the Tigers will come out alright. After all we got Miguel Cabrera, Polanco and Maggs. I hope that this trade works out or a lot of Tiger fans would have Dombrowski pull down his pants and YANK KEYS!

With bonehead moves like this no wonder we are not in first place. Do whatever it takes to get him back in Detroit. Detroit fans deserve and earned it.

Detroit adores, respects, needs, misses him. We will welcome you back. Do what you know is right and ethical. Be our hero again.

Find your way and come where you know you belong. Back to Detroit.
Then, Now, Always.

Tigers defeat Indians, Can they keep winning, and get back into first place

The Tigers have ended their losing streak and are 1/2 game behind Cleveland in the central division. They beat the tribe 2 to 1. The game also marked the return the triumphant returns of Joel Zumaya and Placido Polanco.

Jair Jurrjens and Zumaya masterly pitched. Magglio Ordenz and Carlos Guillen sparkled by powering back to back homers. Polanco also extended his error less streak.

My question is this. Why couldn't the Tigers play this well during the last month? With the losses to Cleveland & the Yankees during the last week , fans were asking. What happened? Can Detroit make a repeat trip to the playoffs?

Maybe these losses were needed to wake the team up. Maybe Jim Leyland put some fear into them. Maybe they needed to get their stride. Maybe their losing steak was a fluke.
Whatever the case is boys, keep it up and you will get back into the playoffs.

Who needs the Yankees, when You Have the Tigers.

If you would have told me a year ago the Detroit Tigers would be on the verge of beating the Yankees in the playoffs, I would have never believed it.

What everyone was considering to be an easy Yankee sweep, turned out to be nothing but. After losing game 1 the Tigers came back to win games 2 and 3.

The Tigers are on the verge of doing the impossible, beating the all mighty Yankees to a pulp. Be careful Tigers, New York won't go down that easily.

Do what you did in the past 2 games and bust those Bronx boys. Send them cryin' back to their mommies.

God bless and go get em' Tigers!

Good luck and bless you Tigers

Cogratulations to the Detroit Tigers on making the playoffs.

For the first time in 20 years, the Tigers have reached the playoffs and have the best record in the league. They also have a chance to win the central division title.

From the worst record to the best record in three years is nothing less than a miracle. From top notch pitching, good fielding and booming batters, the Tigers have been a joy to watch.

Some of the credit should go to the players but most of the credit should go the manager Jim Leyland. He has taken a team that was terrible and turned it around. He knew when to rest players and when to have a change up.

Thank You: Jim Leyland, Magglio, Brandon, Jeremy, Kenny and the rest of the Tigers for an incredible season.

Go get em' Tigers!!
